Registration Vs Sale Deed

Dear All,

I had a query ... whats the difference between Registration & Sale Deed? Do all Builders in Pune do the Sale Deed? I have seen many builders just doing the Registration and Handing over the Possession Letter. Are these 2 documents sufficient to justify the owner ship of the Property?
