This is an out of the track discussion, w.r.t. this thread. But I think I can get good response on this in Pune thread only.
Why IT is not de-centralized in Maharashtra? I mean IT and ITes and BPOs
Now IT jobs are located in Pune and Mumbai, though there are engineering colleges across MH. If you get graduated from top college of your district, you will have to move to either Mumbai or Pune to get good salaried job.
Accrording to me IT as an industry has only two requirements:
- Talent
- Infrastructure
Then why is it not getting spread to tier two cities like Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Solapur etc. I can see Nashik has all infra ready, even other cities are also grown up.
I see it is well spread in Tamil Nadu and kerala. There are small IT hubs developing. Even if you see IT in US and Europe, offices are set up in small towns.
Why MH govt is not promoting IT?
Don't you think this can balance job opportunities throughout the state and can help in development.
Ultimately this will balance the RE rates. And people can enjoy working at their TRUE homes (home towns).
Guys give your comments on this..
