I had purchased one plot of Land in Gurgaon back in 2001, the seller did not presnt himself, but his son with the General Power of Attorney did the sale transaction and and came to registers office in Gurgaon.
He did not gave us the original GPA but a xerox copy of the GPA along with other chain documets , We got the sale registred in my name and paid full stamp duty .
That transaction was ok or not. Or we need the original GPA of the Original owner to his son . This is because , inacase, I need to do any sales transaction of the plot in future shall we need the original GPA of the Original owner to his son along with other chain documents.
