I have registered today to this forum and have found the members to be very knowledgeable about the real estate trends.
I am looking to buy a home for my family. Our budget is 30 lacs. I would prefer to opt for a 2 BHK flat that is at a decent locality OR a plot (we'll build up a house) at a location that promises safe residential environment.
We have been looking into the flats and plots in Mohali and Zirakpur but have reached no conclusion as of now.
I have seen Gillco Valley floors (found them pricier and congested), New Shimla Homes (hanging electricity wires), Darpan City (too far away from chd), Omega City (beautiful but too far away), and Silver City, Dera Bassi (again, spacious and good but far away).
We have visited Sunny Enclave, Sector 125 and considering 105 sq yard possessionable flats there. However, the area looks undeveloped with no built up houses and I am scared if it would be okay to live there with family (probably in a year) if we choose a plot + construction.
Being a newbie and not much much real estate knowledge, I wish to seek an opinion from expert members.
1) Is Sunny Enclave/Kharar a good option and gives access to connectivity to chandigarh's urban life better than Zirakpur?
2) Is it safe to buy a plot in Sector-125 as outlined above, if I plan to live there with my family in next 10-12 months?
3) I have heard about few electricity and water supply issues in Sunny Enclave but not sure if they are true.
I would appreciate any suggestions as they will help us in shaping our decision.
